Rusty Rolleri passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

Rusty continues to be remembered as a faithful member, serving as club president for three terms (in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s) Her passion was rescuing old roses throughout the foothill communities with good friend and past garden club member, Judy Dean of Mountain Ranch. To read more about her passion for the Heritage Rose Rescue program, click onto the link on our Projects Menu, written by Rusty some years ago.

Rusty was the club’s historian, who would remind us all of our early days and the many awards we received from District, State and National garden clubs. Her advice, after some 50 years of Garden Club work was to “recognize that the only true constant is change and it continues forever. It behooves us to always ‘be with it’.”

CCGC continues to maintain the Rusty Rolleri Heritage Rose Garden at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp.  Additional roses were relocated to the Heritage Garden in Spring, 2017.  Please visit the Garden and enjoy Rusty’s legacy.
